The Acoustikats are the University of Kentucky's only male a cappella group. Their mentor is Dr. Jefferson Johnson who oversees the musical direction of the group. The Acoustikats sing a variety of music which features many genres. They sing Billy Joel, Queen, Justin Timberlake, Jason Mraz, and more! They will be performing in Chicago at the American Choral Director's Convention in the 2011. The Acoustikats are constantly performing and bringing a cappella music to the Lexington area. Paws and Listen is an a cappella group led by Dr. Lori Hetzel and are all female. They sing original arrangements of both current and older tunes by: The Chenille Sisters, Natasha Beddingfield, Imogen Heap, Captain and Tenille and many more! Paws and Listen enjoys performing at local events in the community and on the University's campus. |
