Tuesday May 28th @ 8pm Harpeth Rising
Harpeth Rising Folk::Bluegrass::Classical
Billed as an "American Sensation" by WSM 650, this group of young classically trained musicians is making an impact wherever they play. The quartet brings an exciting and distinctive sound to the Americana genre. With a banjo and fiddle, you might think they're traditional bluegrass, but think again: cello and hand drum round out the group, creating a truly new sound. A little bit bluegrass, a little bit folk, a little bit classical and whole lot of original, Harpeth Rising is a band to watch.

Wednesday May 29th @ 8pm Songwriter's Night: John Mann, Greg Foresman, Tom Green
Songwriter's Night: John Mann, Greg Foresman, Tom Green Singer/Songwriter::Showcase::Acoustic

"John Mann is an engaging and positive force, gracing the singer-songwriter scene with bulletproof songcraft, thoughtful lyrics and a voice as warm and inviting as anyone's. Mann's strong new album, Evening News, retains its individuality while clearly revealing core influences- The Band, Van Morrison and John Prine." -Jeffrey Puckett, Courier Journal Listen to John Mann on Reverbnation

Greg Foresman hails from Louisville, and has spent the past 15 years touring as lead guitarist with superstar Martina McBride. Greg's songs are an exceptional mix of inspiration and skilled musicianship, working solid elements of rock, blues, jazz and occasionally, acoustic folk into his own unique and strongly memorable style. Tom Green is a fan favorite songwriter here at Natasha's. He plays regularly at the Nashville Bluebird Cafe and throughout the region. His finely-crafted, insightful songs move across a broad musical spectrum. (Tom is also a preacher, but he skips Matthew, Mark, and John to make things more lucrative.)

Oldsmobile: in Support of Town Branch Rock::Songwriter
Jim Gleason's guitar mastery, Rex Hart's compelling percussion, Ricky Baldwin's precision bass, the moving voices of Missy Johnston and Marilyn Robie, and the outstanding songs of Tom Green - Lexington's Oldsmobile knows the way by heart.
Tonight, in a very special evening of music and conversation, we celebrate projects inspired by Town Branch, both as a scenic trail into Kentucky's cherished agricultural landscapes, and as the beautiful new centerpiece of downtown Lexington.
Van Meter Pettit will discuss the Town Branch Trail, an eight-mile scenic route for bikes, runners, and pedestrians; a trail past limestone springs, early distilleries, pioneer houses, ancient oaks and cane breaks, and the graceful landscape of our home countryside.
Jeff Fugate of the Downtown Development Authority will discuss the exciting new designs for the Town Branch Commons, which will open the watercourse to create central areas of natural beauty through the very heart of Lexington.

Join us for this fun and informative gathering of Town Branch supporters, with videos, displays, contacts, conversation, and with great music by some of Lexington's finest. Together we celebrate our progress, we look into our future, and we learn how we can each take part!

Saturday Jun 1st @ 8pm The Bats
The Bats Cabaret::Comedy::Ensemble

Bringing together the eight diverse talents known as The Bats has netted a genre that can best be described as cabaret meets rock and roll. .. and everything in between. The five feisty women and three very brave men of this distinctive group embrace many musical styles with the material ranging from comical to poignant. They sing of love lost and found, the joys and stings of growing older, and of life's best and worst moments. Whether covering other artists' songs or singing their own original tunes, the common denominator is tight vocal harmonies, skillful musicianship, wit and sophistication, energy and creativity ... with props and choreography thrown in for good measure. They sing, they dance, they yodel ..and they're real good lookin'.
In total the "Bats experience" is unique, smart, fun, lively, refreshing, and most of all entertaining.
