Between Clark & Hilldale is a sixties folk-psychedelic cover band, performing songs by Love, The Byrds, Moby Grape, Donovan, and many others. The band was formed in July 2007 when four friends decided to get together and play some of the sixties music we all love. Singer-songwriter Christopher Jones teams up with family members--Tall, Dark and Handsome (TDH): Jeffrey Jones (guitar), Karen Jones (fiddle) and Bev Futrell (mando/harmonica) for an early acoustic show and release of CJones' new CD Heartland Variations. CJones began his musical journey busking in Paris, France, and performing in the folk club circuit in the United Kingdom, recording for Transatlantic (1978). He now teaches French at Carnegie Mellon and fronts a jazz/blues trio in Pittsburgh. Heartland Variations showcases his songwriting with added harmony, and instrumentation of TDH. The evening of music will also feature the songwriting of Jeff Jones and Bev Futrell, plus a few jazz standards from this tight harmony trio, TDH. |
