Bios
Shayne Brakefield
(Miss Riverton & De Recha) Shayne is very pleased to be
making his first appearance on the Balagula stage, and even more
pleased to share the stage with his dear friend Ryan for the first
time. He has worked with many of the local theatres, including
Actor’s Guild of Lexington, Lexington Children’s Theatre, Studio
Players, Woodford Co. Theatrical Arts Association, Act Out and the
Lexington Shakespeare Festival. Shayne plans on making the BIG move
to NYC next year with his beloved partner Erik.
Ryan
Case (Ms. Asquith & Lefty) - A native of Winchester, Ryan’s
latest works have been with the Balagula Theatre Company in
Lexington, recently starring in their production of The Dresser.
He has also appeared as the title character of BatBoy in BatBoy:
The Musical, Vincent VanGogh in Vincent in Brixton,
Balagula's Phyro-Giants, Everything You Need to Know Before the
World Ends (A Final Evening With the Illuminati), as the
physicist Werner Heisenberg in Copenhagen, and has been in
several episodic ventures of Balagula's very own “Surprise Theatre.”
Edmund
Desiato (Director) Ed has enjoyed an illustrious theatre
career since graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts
in New York. He has appeared in innumerable stage and screen roles,
including work for Jackie Gleason and the television series “The
Edge of Night”. Ed has worked with professional, community and
touring theatres for many years, and is currently the house manager
for Studio Players’ Carriage House Theatre. He began working with
the Balagula Theatre in 2005, directing Neil LaBute’s Bash.
Ed has since appeared in several installments of the “Surprise
Theatre” series, and recently starred in the Balagula production of
The Dresser. |
