Our Venue: It's Your show!
We are an arts and entertainment restaurant which means our identity with the public is as a restaurant. At 9:00PM we open the space up as a free rent venue for artists, musicians, and theaters. By that time most of our dining customers have eaten and left. The performer plays for cover (set by YOU the artist) and keeps 100% of the covers collected and 100% of cd Sales. Since our venue does not have a built in audience (after 9:00) and we give you all the money you make, we can’t offer any kind of guarantee. The amount of money made depends on the bands/artists ability to promote their show. There will be no one here for your show unless you bring them in. It's your show. We are not hiring performers to entertain our guests, as background music. If you are an artist on Tour without local sponsorship then the chance of no audience is even greater.

This style of venue favors performers that have a well rehearsed show or concert style as opposed to those who play background music. Also for those performers that have a strong base in Lexington or those that have extensive local contacts to help promote their show. We have many bands that play regularly that make great money. Please check out our events calendar to see our past performers.

We do promote our performers - Here's how:
As a service to you, we list your show and description on our website and send the same out as an email calendar of events to our subscribers list. Our list has over 7000 recipients having hosted performance now for three years. We also list our events weekly in several local publications. We will supply you with local radio and newspaper contacts so that you can give them your information separately if you like. It is important to use all the resources at your disposal such as your e-mail lists and website calendars and my space bulletins.

Collecting Covers:
You can designate someone at the front door to collect covers or as most performers do they let the servers add the cover to the diner’s bill (Most diners like the whole evening on one bill) Using this method your covers are counted by the cash register and recorded on the close out tape.

NOTE: sometimes late diners will be present just for dinner and not the performance we feed them with no cover if seats are available. So, during your performance, it is possible that diners will be in the restaurant that will not be charged a cover. Every attempt is made to seat them away from the performance allowing more tables for the show.

Setting Up & Sound Checks:
It is preferable that you are set up before 5:00 as we would like not to disrupt Quite Dining between 5:30 and 9:00.

Eating and Drinking while you’re here:
We consider you a temporary employee and give performers the same benefits as we do our employees. All food and beverages are 50% off. (This includes wine and beer but does not include alcohol)

Our space:

  • Our house seats about 72 - 90 people at maximum.
  • Food service does not stop during musical performances, but does stop during theatre performances.
  • All performances begin at 9pm. Our kitchen closes at 10pm Mon-Thurs and 11pm Fri and Sat. We will continue to serve desserts and drinks until 11:00 if there is an audience.

Please fill out the following form and return it by e-mail upon completion.
